Niki & Shaokao Cheng: Keeping fit the AcroYoga way!
Niki and Shaokao Cheng, are co-owners of BoConcept NY furniture stores.
This husband-wife duo are both yoga addicts and they love practicing acro yoga with their daughter Cienna.
What is acro yoga? Acro yoga brings together acrobatics, yoga and dance/performance or thai massage. There tends to be three primary roles: base, flyer, and spotter.
Base, this person is usually, not always lying on the ground with the entire back torso in full contact; flyer, this is the person that is elevated or “flying” off the ground — this seems be the funnest and scariest part from our perspective; and spotter, this is exactly like it sounds – the person that ensures that the flyer lands safely and that there are no or minimal slips.
Recently, we had the pleasure to sit down with Niki and Shaokao for an interview. We wanted to learn more about how they are able to keep their family so fit!
